Paul Walker, who was one of the stars of the Fast & Furious movie franchise, was a victim of an internet hoax a day before his real demise on Saturday in Southern California, Media.com reported on Saturday.
Walker's death was reported by paparazzi site TMZ Saturday evening, but his death was already circulating on several social networking sites as early as Friday.
Apparently, Walker's earlier reported demise was a product of an internet hoax after media mass provided a full account of what they claimed then a made-up story of the Fast & Furious star's death.

"Rumors of the actor's alleged demise gained traction on Friday after a 'R.I.P. Paul Walker' Facebook page attracted nearly one million of 'likes'. Those who read the 'About' page were given a believable account of the American actor's passing," MediaMass stated.
"At about 11 a.m. ET on Friday (November 29, 2013), our beloved actor Paul Walker passed away. Paul Walker was born on September 12, 1973 in Glendale. He will be missed but not forgotten."
"Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page."Hundreds of fans immediately started writing their messages of condolence on the Facebook page, expressing their sadness that the talented 40-year-old actor was dead. And as usual, Twittersphere was frenzied over the death hoax."
The site also indicated that Walkers' representative confirmed the actor is well and alive.
"On Saturday (November 30) the actor's reps officially confirmed that Paul Walker is not dead. "He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet," the representative stated.
"Some fans have expressed anger at the fake report saying it was reckless, distressing and hurtful to fans of the much loved actor. Others say this shows his extreme popularity across the globe."
However, MediaMass reported Hoax of Paul Walker's death turned out to be hoax in the end as TMZ confirmed that Fast & Furious star passed away after sustaining critical wounds from a car accident in California.
According to reports, the 40-year old Walker was a passenger in a friend's car (Porsche GT) and on his way to a charity event for Typhoon Haiyan victim in the Philippines.
